Kubernetes 1.32.

Kubernetes version 1.32 was recently released.

Let's go over the main changes and improvements in this version:

👉 the ability to output the stderr stream separately in kubectl logs. Previously a combined log of stdout & stderr was output

👉 the ability to set resources at the pod level. Previously this was only possible at the level of each individual container inside a pod

👉 you can now take consistent snapshots from several volumes at once by specifying a common label

👉 PersistentVolumeClaims (PVC) created by a StatefulSet are now automatically deleted when no longer needed, while ensuring data is preserved during StatefulSet updates and node maintenance. This feature simplifies storage management for StatefulSets and reduces the risk of orphaned PVCs

👉 the custom resource (CRD) field selector lets developers add field selectors to custom resources, mirroring the functionality available for built-in Kubernetes objects.

👉 many other changes, minor and not so minor, at lower levels of k8s
